Misty Morning Temple Hop

Today Maggie and I hiked up a hill to see a temple. I’m getting a little templed out (the fatigue that happens with significant condensed time among temples, castles, cathedrals, or family), but the Changu Narayan temple is about 1600 years old, which is something.

The misty morning of Bhaktapur’s Durbar Square (lead photo up top) followed by a walk through the intermediary towns made it an excellent day out and about in the sun, which did eventually come out. We saw goats (live) and puppies (also live) and children (very much live).

They had all made bets that we would not return alive. Shocked, they watch us pass, unsure if we are merely ghosts.

Bhaktapur is the third of the Kathmandu Valley ancient kingdom capitals (Kathmandu and Patan being the others).

And that’s about all I have to say about that.
