Believe it or not, this bus is in better condition than the school near it. That said, I don’t think the school depends on any working, moving parts. Well, other than teachers of course.
Today we returned to Wau to refuel and cross the Jur River, which means I got to return to Al Firdo’s, which has some of the best rotisserie chicken I’ve ever had in my life. It tastes like it’s been marinated for two days in cinnamon and cloves and then cooked to a perfect crisp.
Tonight though the restaurant had lots o’ military fellows. I wanted to say to the man sitting across from me, “I hate to be that guy, but can you do me a huge favor and redirect the assault rifle in your lap so it’s not pointing at my crotch?”
