Obviously you can’t visit Sevastopol without visiting the world-famous panorama.
Not if you really want to know how it feels to be stranded like Custer, surrounded by [a painting of] British invading from all sides. And actual cannons and models of shacks and makeshift defenses. Why don’t we have as many dioramas in the US?
I have to admit that it does have more of an effect than just a painting. As evidenced by the Japanese man in one of my photos who appears to be commanding troops to defensive posts. I departed before he drafted me and I disappeared boldly into the painting like the Road Runner.
