Goodbye Means Never Having to Say You’re Sober

On the 25-hour train ride from Ust-Kamenogorsk to Almaty 2 train station, we stopped about 15 times. And just before 8am, we hit this little stop which may actually have been my old Peace Corps training grounds of Kapchagai. And to launch off someone’s kin, there was a vodka celebration before the embarkation.

And on to Almaty. My Kazakh compartment-mate and I looked on with fond curiosity. And Nescafe.
